Customer Review
I tried three other seats and two seat covers before trying this one. I had almost given up finding a seat that would make riding my bike comfortable. This one is very comfortable and the shocks seem to help riding on trails. It is large and somewhat heavy, so it may not be for you if you are worried about adding weight to your bike. It was a good fit for me. My bike is a Schwinn Sidewinder.
Deceptively squishy and too wide for me - Deanna L. Coleman -
I bought this seat for a Schwinn Point Beach cruiser because the seat on that bike was too firm and the staples on the vinyl cover were popping off. I thought this seat would alleviate the soreness and numbness to my bo'om. It helped at first and I was happy peddling around town with my dog, but then my husband and I took a little vaca to Sanibel Island where, the only thing to really do is...bike ride. I probably rode my bike for 12 hours over the 3 days we were there, which I love to do and is the main reason I wanted to go there. However, this seat made my dream getaway a painful experience. I am 5'3" and weigh 190 lbs. This seat was too wide for me. My chubby little thighs were rubbing and catching on the saddle. After a few hours, I noticed that my seat bones were pressing on the frame, which hurt and since I was riding a cruiser, standing in my peddles to at least give my booty a break was not possible. Determined to not allow my vacation to be ruined, I forced myself to keep on riding. One minor complaint is that the Schwinn emblems on the sides of the saddle rubbed off after the first ride. On the positive side, I will say that the seat was very shock absorbing. This seat may be great for someone who is lighter, but if you're heavy, I would carefully consider your options before deciding on this seat.
