About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Customer Review

I received my bike through Amazon Prime in exactly two days with no damage at all to the packaging. The bike was put together in about two hours and wasn't too hard to do. I love my new recumbent bike. I have foot and back problems, and this bike is incredibly comfortable to sit in.
PROS:
1. The walk-through design makes it easy to get seated.
2. The seat itself is nice and cushy with very good support for my back.
3. The noise level is absolutely incredible in that there is no noise. None at all. I'm used to the loud noise of my treadmill and it's almost creepy how silent this bike is.
4. The pedals are also sized well and hold your feet comfortably in place.
5. Pedaling is smooth and the resistance levels change fluidly.
6. The computer display has a lot of information and is a bit on the busy side, but the information is useful and interesting and it stores your information; i.e., you can track how long, fast, etc. you've ridden.
7. The bike is easy to move around in that it has rollers on the front and back, which do not cause the bike to move around except when you want it to be moved. And there's a handle on the back to help with easily dragging the bike to where you need it to go.
CONS:
1. The power plug is flimsy and can be pulled from the machine more easily than I liked. I was expecting a nice, solid three-prong plug permanently attached to the machine and this is a wispy power cord adaptor-thingy. I took extra care in the placement of my bike because of the less-than-sturdy-power cord so that it's plugged in a way that I or anyone else, including my dogs, won't accidentally kick it loose.
2. The owner's manual is a joke. I'm having a little bit of frustration getting up to speed with using the programs and setting up my user profile. Reading the manual makes sense while you're reading it, but as soon as you try to apply what you are reading directly to using it, you quickly realize all sorts of steps are left out of the manual. I am not a complete idiot so I'm muddling through and figuring it out, but the owner's manual is of very, very little help.

All-in-all, I highly recommend this exercise bike. The drawbacks are minor and once I get the programming figured out, it'll be 5 stars!

Great Workout - Taressa Barnes - AIKEN, SOUTH CAROLINA, US
I bought this bike as a replacement for a regular recumbent bike that I had nearly three years. We tried out a lot of different models and brands and finally found this one at one of the sport stores. Unfortunately at the time, they were out of stock. We found this at Amazon - took advantage of their free shipping - and viola we had a new bike. The bike if very comfortable - has many different workouts and well really give you a great workout. Well worth the money - still a lot cheaper and convenient than paying for a gym membership.

Good solid exercise bike - Judzo - Arizona, USA
Built by Nautilaus for Schwinn this bike is quiet and a great value. Be prepared. This is a heavy piece of equipment. Upon arrival I opened the package and brought all parts except the main frame into the house before trying to move the frame. I recommend using a hand truck or dolly to move it as it is heavy and you don't want to drop it. Two people could move it without too much difficulty but the "dolly" will give you more control as the box is quite long. Putting it together is a bit counterintuitive because you first have to take some of the parts off. Just trust the booklet and follow its instructions. Because of way some of the parts are loosely screwed together for shipping you might error in counting the bolts etc and assume they aren't all there. But once you take apart what you are directed to you will most likely see everything is there. The loose parts are very well packaged and unlikely to be missed in shipping.
This bike is very quiet. The electronics are easy to read and the bike seat is comfortable. Reading the instruction book is highly recommended if you want full use of the exercise routines. This is a superb bike for the money, doesn't wabble at all and has enough routines to keep you interested. The heart monitor is very easy to read and use. This is a well thought out piece of equipment that I believe will encourage your workout. Because it is so quiet you could set this in front of a TV and watch without problem while working out. There really is no place to set a book and read it. But as the bike is recumbent you are more stable and I read without difficulty. Recumbent bikes are in my view far more enjoyable to work out on than standard exercise bikes. The point of exercise equipment is to use it, not just own it. I don't see me tiring of this equipment. I highly recommend this equipment.

The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II has advanced features such as Direct Drive Resistance System, Emergency Stop Brake System, Adjustable Seats/Handlebars, and Easy Transportation. This revolutionary product is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, and is also adapted to people with different intensity needs. Unlike road bikes, the flywheel does not continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. The rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob. Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike Specifications

The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, with such features as a direct-drive resistance system, an emergency stop brake system, and an adjustable seat and handlebars. Unlike with road bikes, the 39.6-pound balanced flywheel on the Revolution Cycle Pro II doesn't continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. Instead, the rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob, helping the bike adapt to people with different intensity needs. The direct-drive system, meanwhile, lets the rider pedal either forward or backward during the workout, with a quick-stop handle serving as an instant brake for changing directions or in case of emergency. Most importantly, the Revolution Cycle Pro I is biomechanically efficient, with a two-way adjustable seat post that moves vertically and horizontally while you're mounted on the bike, along with an adjustable handlebar. As a result, you can drop the saddle down and out of the way to work the inner thigh, or perform other legwork off the back of the bike.

Other details include a heavy-duty brake pad resistance system with center-pull brake pads, front wheels for easy transport, sturdy toe clips made of the same alloy materials used in off-road racing, a heat-treated axle, a water bottle, and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The Revolution Cycle Pro II measures 24 by 42.5 by 42.3 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 113 pounds.

Purchased the Phoenix 98623 Revolution exercise bike for my girlfriend, but I get to use it to. Love this bike. It is thoughtfully engineered, heavy duty where it counts, and will probably last a lifetime. Definitely worth the price. I know you can pay thousands for spinner bikes, but not sure what more I could ask for than this 0 wonder. My only complaint is that (like all spinners) the seat is a tad hard and uncomfortable, at least for me and my friend. We solved that by buying an inexpensive gel seat cover.

Great buy - D. Anderson - Austin, Texas
This bike is a great buy for the price. It is very substantial and the heavy weight lets you be able to get up out of the saddle without worrying about the bike tipping over. Assembly was easy. The seat is not very comfortable but we bought another one at a bike store and it wasn't too expensive. It's pretty easy to move even though it's a heavy bike. Adjusting the seat is a little tough. You have to use your whole weight to move up or down.
